Initial Plans

Topic: The topic of the documentary will be Live music and gigs. It will be called 'The Gig Experience' and have the aim to show how musicians thrive from being on stage and how they are able to generate entertainment for the audience.

Target Audience: The target audience for the documentary will be young adults aged from 15-24, who are interest in the music industry and live music. It will be shown on MTV live at approximately 9pm on a Sunday night as this means we will reach out target audience at this time. Furthermore, it has also been placed at this time because the watershed may be needed if there is swearing involved.
Channel and Scheduling: We chose MTV Live because MTV is the most recognised network for music. As the programme will be on at 9pm on a Sunday, this allows the watershed in case there is swearing in the documentary. MTV will also reach the audience of young adults because the channel 'gives young adults everything they are passionate about, from fashion, lifestyle and sports, to attitude, politics and creativity, all through the prism of music.'

We will play our documentary on MTV Live HD channel. It will play at 9 between Kings of Leon MTV World Stage and Hot Right Now. We will hammock it between these two as the previous programme is gig related, and we are going to include modern music, which relates to "Hot Right Now!"
